Hello everyone!!
Thank you for your prayers today! Two
lives we saved today!! Praise The Lord for softening these ladies hearts
and choosing to spare their baby from death!!
It
was a FRIGID day out at the Mill! I was there from about 10-12 today. I
wanted to get there earlier, but didn't plan well. Mark Wolf was there
again, as he is every Saturday. There was a woman playing Away in a
Manger on the flute when I pulled up. I met a very nice woman by the
name of Kim, she is married with 3 children.
I
also met a woman named Sarah Cleveland. She is married with two
children, a Christian and she is an Ultrasound Tech (she has trained
women at PDHC). She worked at Riverside Hospital for 9 years in the ER
as well. She saw so many women coming in post abortion with
complications, excessive bleeding, and with incomplete abortions-
meaning, the women still had body parts of the baby still inside them.
After
9 years, she couldn't take it anymore and decided something had to be
done. With the blessing of her husband, she quit her job. Thus, their
family going down to one income and making all the necessary changes to
adapt to that lifestyle.
From there, she has become a full
time activist for the unborn. She speaks at churches, is involved with
several other ProLife groups going to college campuses and other public
areas exposing what abortion really is.
After being there today, it never occurred to me that there are people who really do not know what abortion is.
So
anyway, my first experience today was watching Mark Wolf approach a man
and woman about to go into the Mill. The man was very aggressive toward
Mark. Got in his face, mocking him, patting him on the back and telling
him to walk on. He told Mark the next time he touched him, his back was
going to be on the ground. Mark told the police officer about he man
and he went over and talked to him. The officers are off duty and hired
by the Mill, so they're driving their personal cars.
One girl cussed us out.
The
an Indian couple came in. They were such sweet people. They are both
carriers for a genetic disease and have two daughters that are severely
disabled and can Not walk. The mom was six weeks pregnant. She said she
couldn't bare to have another child suffer like her two daughters do.
Sarah pleaded and talked with them for several minutes, but the couple
thought it best to kill their baby.
Then came
along a girl Amy. Kim talked with her a long time while Amy was still in
her car. Amy left to get some food. She came back and went inside the
Mill. But she came out a few minutes later!! You could tell she didn't
want to do it. Kim did not get a chance to talk to her more, as she was
on her phone walking down the street.
Then
there was Renee. Renee was dropped off by her boyfriend to have an
abortion. She was 4 months along! (The Mill does abortions up to 5
months. If the women are past that time, they refer them to another
place that will do later term abortions- one is in Toledo)
She
went in, then came out looking very sad. She walked up to Sarah and
Sarah shared with her what abortion is and what they would do to her
baby. Renee had no idea what abortion actually was. But after that
conversation with Sarah, she changed her mind. She wasn't feeling well
and wanted to go somewhere to make sure she and her baby were okay.
Sarah drove her to OSU East. Renee couldn't believe that Sarah wanted to
give her a ride. Renee wasn't going to call her boyfriend yet. She
didn't want him to know she didn't get the abortion.
I
asked Mark if he knew of any sound permits that's were needed or if
people used equipment like a loud speaker or something to that effect.
He said given the area and that everything is so close together, it
probably would t be we'll received.
BUT the from door is the
entrance to the lobby. So you can see the people in there waiting. I
don't know it they could hear you if you were outside talking.
I
can tell ya you look at children differently after going there. You see
just how much of a precious gift they are from The Lord.
I'm
going to do my best to be there every Saturday morning. You're welcome
to tag along. Kim told me there was a family there for a little bit
before I got there.
The people there (sidewalk counselors)are very kind and welcoming.
